I was trying to rebuild my front brakes hardware. I got new sliders, new caliper bracket bolts, the little metal guides, and new rubber boots.
I cleaned the brackets, cleaned the holes where the sliders go, installed the new boots, put some high temp brake grease in there, and when I tried to slide in the sliders, the boots keep popping off the caliper bracket. I can tell that there is no way for the air to escape that's why it's happening.

Is there a trick to it ?

Do you know if the lower caliper anchor points should float like the top?

I'm in the middle of replacing my rotors and pads and noticed that both lower points (right and left side) appear frozen?

How do they come a part?

Thanks.

I am pretty sure both sliding bolts should be moving freely.
If they are frozen inside the caliper bracket, take the bracket, put into a wise, heat it with a torch, and wiggle out the slide bolts, and replace the grease and boots.
