I have a ninety three explorer and i wanna lift it 6 inches. i`m just wonderin what all comes in an explorer kit, my main concern is if i need to do replacement shackles in the rear or not. i kind of peiced my kit together from extras my friends had( add a leafs, blocks and ,coils from rangers) tomorrow i`m getting the radius arm drop down brackets and the pivot brackets from a friends ranger that he tipped and of course new shocks wheels and tires. just wonderin if you guys think it`ll work out okay.?

if by "blocks" you mean lift blocks, it won't work unless you convert the spring to over the axle. If you put blocks where the leaf springs are now, you will be lowering it. If you convert the leaf springs to over the axle (SOA), you will get like 5.5" of lift. You do not need replacement shackles unless yours are in bad condition or you want more lift.

Yes I totally agree. Don't add blocks below the axle. I didn't replace my shackles with my RC 4" kit and I haven't had any problems.
