Hi all,
I just bought a 1992 ford explorer for only 650 bucks. Using this forum, i have found info on fixing the exhaust, the tach, the jbl audio system, and a few other things. The wealth of info on here is tremendous, almost to the point of overwhelming. After doing the 3000 rpm tach fix tonight, I had to join this forum. I plan on fixing up the truck and giving it to my son in a couple of years. He is helping me with it and learning about cars and trucks. Body is a little rough on the ol' girl, but mechanically runs great.
Next project is the sub. Found a post (and bookmarked it) about upgrading it to an 8", and since mine is blown\not working well, figured I would do the upgrade. I already replaced the stock radio with my Sony I had, so I got sound from 4 speakers instead of nothing.
I hope I am not a pest early on with questions, but have a few I will be asking about...
