Hi Everybody,
I'm a new member.
Had a 98 Ranger, put 150k miles on it. Still in the family
Bought a 98 Explorer XLT. added about 20k miles before it was totaled by a Prius
Got a 2004 Explorer base model. Love driving it. but no heater. just clicks on anything but A/C.
Look forward to learning some stuff and hopefully contributing as well

Welcome to this forum! The clicking noise might be coming from the blend door actuator.

OK, that sounds promising.

Are there any instructions here as to how to repair this problem?

General concensus is that the new one should be purchased from Ford? That surprises me. are the new ones an improvement over the old failed one?
I was thinking maybe a metal one purchased from maybe...
