I had posted for opinions on an engine replacement for my 91 4.0. I went with a 96 Aerostar 4.0 with 13k miles vs reman. The blocks are the same, but that is about it. I left the injectors and fuel rails in place and will be adding my intake and sensors.
I had to give up the low oil sensor from the oil pan. I will be trying to figure out how to hook up the Aerostar two wire sensor after I get the engine going. The injectors are very small compaired to the old ones. If they don't work, I'll have to install those old buggers from the 91 with new o-rings.
Prayerfully I'll be turning the key Friday afternoon. Anyone in SW Chandler see a black plume around 3pm, give the Big Guy a word for me, huh.
