So, out shopping the other day, driving the wife around, moseying around the lot and all of a sudden I realize I've got a dash light on. It says check gauges. So I stare at them and stare at them wondering what it's talking about. Then I realize, the temp gauge is pegged. Pull over and kill it. Then pondering my stupidity, I turn it back in to read the AutoGauge and find the temp at 240 degrees.
Long story short, I make it home fine. No more overheating (I know the cause.)
The T-Stat housing had some seepage around it. But isn't leaking now.
Anyone know at what temp damage will occur?
Or what signs I need to be looking for while driving it the next few days?
Nothing seems odd at this point, but don't want to cause any damage.
