Hi Guys...

Wife was driving the 2001 Sport Trac and it started to lose power, then stopped running. I checked it out and when I try and start it, it produces a rythmic clicking sound. Checked the battery and terminals and it appears the car is getting sufficient power... never did this before this moment, always ran like a top...

Thanks for the help...

Is the starter turning the engine over, or is it the starter that's clicking?
Your first problem is why it lost power, hopefully it's the fuel pump which you need to check out.
The other senario is it jumped time, possibly bending valves & trashing the engine.
I say this because if all was good starter wise, after stopping the starter won't turn engine over because valve is interfering with piston.
Starter wise check you have good connections at solenoid on starter and clean very well (disconnect battery first).
