Was driving rented mustang (im sure wipers tech is same on all fords), brand new mustang with 9k miles, between Colorado Springs and Denver, was snowing really hard, heavy wet stuff.. I started passing tractor trailer and it hit slush on road that covered my windshield completely with inch or more heavy wet sleet, but since I had "rain sensing wipers" on - it did nothing for 5 secs or more ( i guess its rain sensing - not snow sensing), me driving right near tractor trailer at 65mph.. i quickly toggled wipers but those 10 secs were very long.. Be careful with it.

Thanks.

... or don't pass that close to tractor trailers in heavy sleet conditions, particularly in a RWD vehicle, and SLOW DOWN. It is ridiculous to drive 65MPH in "heavy wet sleet". You really shouldn't be driving if you don't have more common sense than that... endangering everyone else on the road and think it's okay because it's a rental.

If you don't care about your own life, at least respect the lives of others.
