So, finally getting around to installing the RC lift on my UK 97

Ran into a slight issue when mounting the rear torsion bar brackets.

Mine has earlier style torsion bar damper and this uses later style.

Would you lop off the metal that's getting in the way?

Yes I would cut that off and run the rc bracket… otherwise you can never install the lift!

Interesting
I think you could have left some metal to reach up and add some vertical support
Keep an eye on those brackets if they decide to bend at all you may want to go back and add some support, like a traingle over the backside…
You should be ok considering it is just the end of the torsion bar hanger and not actually supporting the vehicle weight, just the spring tension for one corner
