I have been reading some posts about replacing the rotor hub assembly on my truck and they have me in a bit of a spin. I have worked on cars so I am not a complete novice but I do have some questions.

1. being 2WD I assume my fronts are a hub and rotor assembly?

2. will I need to buy new bearings seals and races? Are new races installed in the new rotor assembly?

3. I have hand tools no air any specialty tools i might need? Any special socket to use to remove the hub nut?

4. Any special procedure to removing the rotor/hub assembly once unbolted?

5. Any pitfalls I should be aware of?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You're correct the 4x2 is just like any other front hub/rotor.

Welcome Paul. Actually the above is what I answered. The 4x4 does not have replaceable bearing/race/seals. You replace the whold hub assembly on a 4x4.

Yes, NC Ranchero got me straight and I completed the work. I was just confused when I started reading.
