rim size question

i am looking at some black steel wheel for my rig.
they are 15 x 8 , 5 on 4.5" with 3.75" of backspacing.

i have no lift, and 31 x 10.5's with no rubbing right now on my stock 15 x 7's with 4.5" of backspace. seems like if the whole assembly "moves out" .75", it won't affect anything. does anybody know for sure?

somebody has to have this setup.........

oh, if somebody has this setup and a picture to post or link, i'd like that very much as well.

thanks guys.

You bumped after 11 minutes?

Yes, 15x8 with 3.75 BS is the most universal size used on Explorers. It offers the best BS for clearance issues.

Those are a good size rim if you want to get larger tires in the future. However, by pushing the tires farther out you're increasing the turning arc of the front tires, making rubbing on the fender, fender liner, and bumper a bit more likely. However, it won't be anything a little trimming can't fix.

ok, robb, i guess if posting on my own thread is a bump, i did it, after 11 mins. is that wrong? i just had an idea to add.

thanks guys.

i would still like to see a picture, though.
