Hi,
After reading about all the mods on this boards, I figured I'd go out and do some of the cheaper ones. I bought a K&N drop in filtercharger, some Bosch P+4 plugs and tried to buy some of the splitfire wires. The guy at the autoparts store said that there are no wires for my '97 OHV in the computer, so then he checked the book, and sure enough, nuthin. Is there a standard set I should ask for?
p.s. are the Bosch plugs gapped by the factory, if not, what is the correct gap if anyone knows off hand. I am aslo planning on drilling the airbox, does anyone know if there are issue in CA. when it comes smog time? Thanks!

I'm not sure about the wires. I am running Jacobs wires which are about the same if not better. They ran me just over $50. If you want the # it is 4006663. And to answer your question yes the plugs are gapped and I'm sure it will affect your smog. But thats why you drill in the bottom so they won't see the mods :)
