I've searched the threads but haven't found any info on my idea. I have a 99 Sport and would like to raise the rear shock mount height ... for clearance and looks. (not the ride height)
The set up is a mono spring below the axle, 4 space plates and then the shock mount plate. If I removed the 4 space plates and bolted it up that way I'm guessing I would need shorter pins and shorter u-bolts.
This would raise the height of the shock mount by roughly 1 1/2 inches. Would this raise my ride height by lifting the Bilstein shocks ? If not would the shocks be alright at the 1 1/2" shorter extension ?
