Thanks for reading and any help is appreciated. I've used every tool I've got - sledgehammers, seperators, jacks - no luck in removing knuckle from lower ball joint. I've just about resolved to cutting the ball joint shaft but thought I'd get some other ideas?? I've got medium experience with this -everything else is off but the lower won't let go? Thanks.

got the truck hanging on that side,,jackstand on the frame, not the a arm ?

usually if you whack the part the pin goes thru on the side it will let go, ,

I had the same problem. I was trying to take the knuckle off so I could remove the hub assembly. Tried the 2 prong ball joint tool (broke it) then tried with the 2 jaw removal tool and bent the arms on the tool. I just said screw it n left it on and pushed the axle thru the hub
if you got a hook up at the fire dept. U could ask them to separate it with the jaws of life lol
