Hi Guys

Another question from this newbie.

When driving over uneven ground/roads I get a nice thump/clunk under my feet. I think it's suspension related.

Any top tips of how to track down the problem and get it fixed?

Cheers
Kenny

Several things to check. First check that the link rods between the lower wishbone and the anti-roll bar(sway bar in usa speak) has not snapped. They have a habit of breaking off the head of the long bolt. Next check lower ball joints, which also seem to not last very long. After that the usual rubber mounts and bushes are suspect. It could also be the kevlar pad on the end of the torsion bars (by the adjuster bolt). These can wear out causing metal to metal contact.

I have just checked all the suspension bolts on my Ex because of strange noises. I found the rear lower wishbone through bolts rotated about twice each untill they tightened to the proper torque! All the others were rock solid. Seems alot quieter, especially going up the kerb outside my house.
