So i went to leave the gym today and go onto the turnpike and my car started to act funny. When my speedometer hit around 30 when the car should shift (automatic tranny) instead of my tach going from 3 back down, it continued to climb and wouldnt no accelerate until i took my foot off the gas adn then applied it again, in order to let the rpms drop. Now after that it shifts fine. its a 1995 4.0 v6 Does anybody have a possible idea to what it could be. Is my tranny done? Please respond quick kinda worried....VERY WORRIED thanx everyone

See if the bands could be adjusted. If not, then drop the pan to check for broken band parts, and anchor apply struts. Old servo pistons dry out over a period of time, and leak. This causes a lack of apply pressure to hold the band.
