transmission dipstick tube

Hello all, i have a 99 ford explorer 5.0 4r70w tranny. I just installed a new tranny. My problem is i cant for the life of me get the transmission dipstick tube in from back of the motor, is their a trick to it? Ive been trying all day. Any reply is appriciated

Never heard this problem before. Remove the pan, have a look. If no problem, i guess try harder!!! Like the sayin goes, u dont succeed, try, try again!!!
