Turbo 97 Sport 2wd

Hey, Ive been a member here for quite some time now. I dont really post much because im never really home. I though you guys would enjoy this post since their one in a million. Also I might as well give you some info on the truck while im at it.

I just recently put a Garrett turbo on my 4.0 Sohc. The truck started life as a 4x4 until I started the mods. It now has a full 2wd drivetrain. The gears are stock 4.10's. It has a custom roll pan which i fabricated from a f150, fully shaved hatch and door handles with autoloc solenoids. The doors, hatch, and roll pan are in white primer for now. I plan on shaving the antenna and roof racks still. The truck is lowered 3" in the front and 2" in the rear. It rolls on 20" mossa rims wrapped in 275/45/20 Gt II rubber. Heres a few pics:

Ok now onto the good stuff. I was first going to do a sts style turbo, but I decided to go the conventional way and put it under the hood. I had to gut the ac, modify the ac/heater box, delete the washer fluid reservoir, relocate the batt to the rear, and install the coolent overflow where the batt used to be. Heres what the new engine bay looks like and also the modified ac/heater box:

Heres the setup:

Garrett T04E, 57 trim 0.60a/r comp. and "P" trim 0.70 a/r tang divided turbine
Tial 38mm wastegate
Xo2 racing intercooler (ebay brand)
Ebay adjustable Blow off valve
Pro M 3" Mass air
3" highflow magnaflow stainless cat
3" stainless MAC muffler

Off the stock manifolds to the turbo is 2", from the turbo its 3" dumped in front of the axle. All the cold side pipeing is 2.5". The piping is also all stainless. Heres some pics of the build and final result:

Ok, now onto the numbers so far. The guy that built the turbo for me said it should be good for 500whp. The engine has 120 000kms on it so I dont want to abuse it too much. The truck was tuned by Da Silva Racing in Kingston ontario. I decided to stay low on the boost for now so I installed a 5.83 PSI spring in the wastegate. My autometer gauge reads about 4.5PSI, which is just about right after you figure the losses from all the piping and intercooler. With that 4.5PSI, 6 degrees of timing, 5800RPM and very healthy a/f ratio the truck put down 260RWHP and 308 RWtorque. I was satisfied with that for now, so they did a few final adjustments and I was done. Now it was getting late and i wanted to load the truck on the trailer and hit the highway b4 all the traffic, so I didnt have time to grab the dyno sheet. I will be going back in the spring to turn up the boost and get some new numbers though.

I couldnt be happier with the setup, the truck pulls really hard with only a few pounds of boost. Of course I still have a few problems to deal with, but its to be expected with a custom setup. Here a fews more pics from the dyno. Any question, feel free to ask.
