which serious power mods to get?

im lookin at tryin to make some more power(who isnt), i already have the exhaust and i got a conical k&n. im want to stay away from a chip. i want to still be able to run on 87 octane and dont wont to decrease my milage too much. i would like to stay at under $300 per mod (so supercharger is out of the question) im thinkin headers would be the next thing on my list but that is gettin close to about 400 dollars heres what ive come up with so far but im kinda flaky on the costs:

MAS (70mm or larger) 250bux
TB (not sure what size) 200bux
headers 400 bux
polish or port the heads 300 bux

jsut wanderin if any of yall got any suggestions on what i should do? what to get or not to get?

I'd say if you could get a reliable, trusted shop to do the headwork for 300 then do the port & polish.

Your mods total up to $1150 if I did the math right. For that amount, you could probably install a used 5.0 drivetrain and sell your existing motor.
