will 6.5 round fit? or just 5.25

Hey everyone, Im looking at gettin some new comps, and i was just wondering if i could fit 6.5's in the 5x7 location..(adapter brackets)

yes you can fit them with adapters. My adapter had to be 1 1/4" thick for the magnet on my speaker to clear one of the bars in the door.

i made my own by just tracing the old speaker outline on some mdf then cutting the hole for the 6.5 in them.

then i painted resined and sound deadened them

wouldnt really cost much for me to do but i see you're in florida and im in BC canada so shipping would actually be probably 4x as much as id charge to do them.

whast the maximum mounting depth for a 96?

depends how thick you make the adapter.

i originally made mine 3/4 thick but that wasnt enough so i added another 1/2

yea but for your average speaker the adapter would need to be >2" to hit the stock panel
