Aurora ignition wires.....
for those who demand the very best
Aurora wires are manufactured in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada by Aurora Electronics Ltd. (www.auroraelectronics.com).
Aurora is one of those 'niche' companies.... large enough to provide an OEM (original equipment manufacturer) ignition wire selection as diversified and complete as the largest competitor, yet small enough to offer a speedy, reliable and efficient custom wire building service.
Aurora's business philosophy is very simple.... manufacture one grade of ignition wire designed to stand up to the harshest environment. For those with hard working engines in RV's, race cars, marine and commercial applications, there is satisfaction and trust that Aurora's wire sets were developed with you in mind. For general automotive use, there is the security in knowing that your wire set has been 'over engineered' and you will never have to buy another ignition wire set again!
Aurora's total confidence in their ignition wire products is reflected in their warranty, offered equally to commercial applications as well as the general public. Manufacturers of virtually every product tend to shy away from commercial warranties of anything longer than 90 days and, in many cases, offer no warranty protection at all. They know that commercial vehicles are worked hard, even abused. Aurora's view is, if you design an ignition wire set properly, have confidence in your design and use the best materials, there is nothing to fear from extending the same warranty to commercial customers. Find another manufacturer with that same level of confidence!

I don't even remember how I came across this company and their products. Any time I can do business with a Canadian online retailer, I'm all over it. I deal with US suppliers all the time. So many of them drop the ball when it comes to shipping and inflate shipping, handling etc, that it's not often worth it dealing with them. It's not rocket science shipping goods across our mutual border, but some retailers think it is.
I placed an order for my '00 Sport (SOHC) and got all sorts of confirmation info soon after. The wires showed up at my home in a few days (I'm about 600 miles from Abbotsford so that's expected). Nonetheless, they shipped right away.
I don't know good wires from bad and I don't have the patience or mechanical ability to change plugs/wires myself. From what I've seen, it's not an easy task on the SOHC V6 anyhow. I paid a shop to do the install for me and they were very impressed with the quality of these wires. I had them on my Ex for about 6 months before trading it in on my '99 Eddie Bauer. I will get Aurora wires again for the Eddie in due course. I was in touch with the company recently about the correct wires for my application and heard back from them right away.
I wholeheartedly recommend this company and their products. Don't be afraid to order from Canada. From what I understand, it's actually easier for Americans to get stuff from Canada than it is for Canadians to get stuff from America. We pay handling fees, sales tax etc. Duty doesn't usually come into play with NAFTA. Supposedly it's not so bad on the US end.
Great company to deal with. Great product.

The wires are great. I think the old factory wires were the weak link in my system. Once I replaced them, acceleration was 10X smoother.
The company (Sudden impact Performance) was great too. When I ordered them, their rep, Gary, was in contact with me via email within an hour and a half to make sure I was getting the right product for this unique applicaiton (98 Mountaineer 302 w/DIS). He made sure that I was getting the right set to fit my truck.
After I got the wires Two of them were a little short. I emailed Gary just to let him know of this for the next time somebody orders these wires, he is sending me longer wires for free. He has bent over backwards to make me a happy customer. Awsome customer service!
The total price ended up being like 102USD shipped to my door and my bank charged me 2% (a little over $2) for a foreign transaction so be aware of this when ordering.
I highly recommend these wires for your next tune up!
