Description: Mobil 1, the world's leading synthetic motor oil exceeds the industry’s toughest standards and outperforms all conventional oils. In fact, many car builders put Mobil 1 in their vehicles before they leave the factory. And it is used by more than 70 percent of teams in the three NASCAR® series.

If you want total engine protection, excellent fuel economy and a product recommended for applications under warranty, you want Mobil 1®. The world's leading synthetic motor oil, it features a proprietary
SuperSyn anti-wear technology that provides performance beyond conventional motor oils. Technology that allows Mobil 1 to exceed the toughest standards of Japanese, European and U.S. car builders -- and to provide exceptional protection against engine wear, under normal or even the most extreme conditions.

Benefits:

Outstanding wear protection.

Excellent high- and low-temperature performance.

Pours at temperatures as low as -53ºF and protects at oil temperatures as high as 400ºF.

Improved protection against sludge and harmful deposits.

Excellent fuel economy benefits (specific grades/viscosities).

Pros: Works as advertised
Cons:

I've been using Mobil1 since the early 90s. The utlimate testimony relates to my old '93 Explorer Sport. I bought it new from the factory and shortly therafter I moved away and had to put it in storage. I ended up being out of the country for 3.5 years and during that time I sold the truck to a friend. I told him to maintain the steady diet of Mobil1 and it woujld last forever (I started it from about 1000 km). My buddy wasn't very good at maintaining the Ex and doesn't really take care of his cars. He did keep up the Mobil1. The truck pretty much started to disintegrate around him and he had expensive repair after expensive repair. He had no issues however with anything surrounding the engine itself. He actually had it checked out not long before he traded it in, and the inspection place commented how great the engine still was.

I've pretty much been using Mobil1 in my other vehicles and it seems to work as advertised. The first thing I did when I scored my '99 Eddie was get the oil dropped, engine flushed and Mobil1 5/30 put in. I'm probably going to switch to Amsoil shortly, but I'll always recommend this oil to others who can't justify the added expense for Amsoil. Great thing is you can find Mobil1 at discount retailers everywhere.

Pros: Great For High RPM engines
Cons: Little Expensive

We use this at the shop in whoever ask for it; but mostly the BMWs. We use mostly the 10w-30 weight. Great stuff for great protection.
