Posting this more as a warning to anyone who tries to use one of these things. I wasnt bein towed more than a few feet before it gave out on me. The pic above is the severed strap, wich looked almost like it was cut with a knife.

Snaps, Painful, nowhere NEAR its rated cap.

I think these are handy to have as an emergency backup ONLY. I have 2 15k pound tow chains, and one of these jobbies. Id only use this if I needed to give away a tow implement or if both my chains broke. Over all, might be okay if you have reese hooks on your pimped out slammed civic and need to pull it out of a slight depression in the road ;-)
