Description: As your ride's exterior ages, rubber, plastic and vinyl exterior hardware of all colors will dry, crack, flake and deteriorate. This oxidation can be stopped and reversed with MothersŪ Back-to-BlackŪ, our favorite auto-care concoction. This trim treatment is great for all sorts of exterior hardware in all colors-bumpers, molding, louvers, window trim, vents, seals, skirts, door handles, wiper arms-anything that's plastic, rubber or vinyl. Apply Back-to-BlackŪ to sun-burnt plastic, rubber and vinyl to revive the factory-new sheen, then re-treat that exterior hardware regularly.

Pros: Restores all black trim pieces to their original color nicely and adds a slight gloss.
Cons: First few applications run a little bit and its a little difficult to apply.

This stuff is great. My Explorer's trim was all faded to gray as we have all seen on multiple cars. This stuff restored that gray to a nice glossy black.

On the back it describes that you should apply it liberally. All I can say is they weren't lying. I had to really rub this stuff in to get my gray trim back to black. One tired arm an an hour later, I had nice, glossy trim again. Two days later it rained a little bit and the Back-to-Black ran down onto my paint leaving me with some not so nice looking black streaks on my white paint, but I took them off easily. After multiple applications over time I noticed the runs did not happen, probably because I never had to rub so much of it in again like the first application.

Because it runs on heavy applications and its semi-difficult to apply at first I am giving it an 8, but I still recommend this product.

Pros: Initally looks great
Cons: Fades

When first applied this stuff is fantastic, however, after a week or so it fades out.

Pros: It does a very good job and a little goes a long way.
Cons: Like any dressing, it only lasts until the first rain

It works great. I don't have a lot of use for it on my mountaineer, but all of the black plastic trim on my mustang is treated with this as well as the black plastic trim on my LS.

I also have been using it on the black plastic and rubber under hood parts of my Mustang. It does an excellent job of shining things up for shows.
