Description: I recently added one of these to my Mountaineer. It looks great.

The instructions weren't the greatest but there wasn't much to the install. I did find it frustrating that not all of the holes lined up perfectly with the factor holes on the underside of the hood.

I was a little disappointed in the plastic screw/fasteners that came with the kit. Though they have not failed, they don't seem very strong either. I think that this could be upgraded if need be.

Pros: Good looks, seems to be durable (3/8" thick plastic)
Cons: holes didn't line up perfectly but good enough

I am happy with this product

Pros: hood chips
Cons: flimsy screws

doesnt really deflect bugs from the windshield. does keep paint chips away. flimsy screws that come with it. looks good though. i'd recommend it though

Pros: Looks good, high quality, has held up well
Cons: Doesn't really deflect much

I like mine, it looks great, is very well made and durable, and has held up very well through some nasty northeast winters. I'm not quite sure it actually deflects much, but that could be because my 2nd gen is more "rounded" and the hood rises above the deflector. Might work better on a squarer 1st gen. At any rate, it looks great, wasn't too expensive, and has held up very well - I would recommend this product.
