Pros: Compact installation, lots of features
Cons: Mic is bulky (entire CB is in the mic)

This is a very good CB especially for an Explorer or any other vehicle where you dont want to permanetly install a CB. The small connection box tucks neatly under the dash and you can easily remove the CB when it is not needed to prevent theft. I have had mine for over 6 years and it still works great. The range seems to be pretty good as well for this compact CB. The features are great such as the instant Ch 19/9, the channel memory buttons and the weather band. I really like this CB and it has performed well for me.

Pros: Compact, Weather channel capability, decent range, good price
Cons: Cannot be aesily tweaked for power users

Just a second vote for this unit. I instelled one in an F-150, and the whole unit tucked nicely out of the way in the center console. The range is decent enough with a basic mag-mount K-40 or Wilson 1000 antenna, and marginally less effective with a shorty like a Wilson Lil' Wil or K-30. No adjustable squelch is the only drawback (for control freaks like me) but great noise supression and dynamic squelch keep it from annoying the user with unending static.

A great little unit overall!!
