supersize

Description: Out of all the tires I've ever used, these tires seem to have the best all around traction in all kind of weather. Even after a couple of years, the rubber seems to be like new.
Keywords: Michelin Hydroedge tires.

Pros: These tires have incredible traction in all kind of weather.
Cons: Not everybody stocks them, and are more expensive than other tires in this size.

These tires have a high tread wear rating compared to other tires in this size. They seem to be like new even after a couple of years. The stopping distance is significantly shorter. Check these links for more information:

Pros: Top notch traction and ride
Cons: A bit spendy

I brought my mother's 2008 Mazda 3 to Sears to get a set of tires for her and wound up with these. While a little expensive, they're fairly unique in having such a high tread-wear and mileage warranty (90k) with overall good performance. After they were installed, I went to Firestone for a lifetime alignment. When I came back to pick it up, a torrential downpour had started. On my way home, I tried hard to get these tires to fail but I couldn't; they wouldn't break free even with a sheet of water on the road, either on major collector roads or windy country roads. All in all, a great improvement in ride and VAST improvement in wet weather and reduction in noise compared to the stock Toyo Proxes A05's.
