Description: At last - the clean, reliable high-power output that made the OPTIMA Red Top starting battery famous is now available in a true Deep Cycle battery.

The OPTIMA Yellow Top Deep Cycle battery uses the same unique SPIRALCELL TECHNOLOGY® that outperforms and outlasts conventional flat plate batteries. The OPTIMA battery design uses high purity lead plates wrapped with glass mat that absorbs electrolyte like a sponge. This gives the OPTIMA battery extremely high power, very low internal resistance and other features that translate into the following benefits:

Provides high power output faster and longer than conventional batteries, resulting in greater cranking ability and constant performance quality as they are discharging - even at high current loads.

Cycle application or series string applications (CV/CC) only: Constant voltage with constant Current finish: 14.7 volts temperature < 125 f, no current limits when current falls below 1 amp, finish with 2 amp constant current for 1 hour.

Completely sealed - because of the unique design you can mount it in almost any orientation and you'll never have to add water or check fluid levels, making your OPTINA battery maintenance-free. Your OPTIMA battery is also classified as "NONSPILLIABLE" - making the battery safer for people, equipment and the environment.

Verified in Life Cycled testing to outcycle conventional Deep Cycle batteries by 30 - 50%

Unequaled vibration resistance due to the tightly wound SPIRALCELL design that resists jarring and eliminations plate shredding.

High purity lead design provides a much lower self-discharge rate, meaning OPTIMA battery can sit unused for 8 - 12 months without recharge.

Pros: Nice well built product.
Cons: Price

Love my yellow top so far. Powers all lights and amps and other accesories very well with little power drain.

Pros: Fast recovery time when put under a load.
Cons: Could sometimes go bad with constant power surges. Not a problem if the battery is rated higher than the surges.

The red tops are good as long as you don't try to deep cycle them. The yellow, and blue tops are good as long as you don't have repetitive sharp power spikes in your vehice. They start in all kind of weather. They don't have acid to leak, and ruin the battery tray.
