Ultra SilBladeŽ - The Classy Combo - with colored frames and matching colored silicone blades - has been formulated with a premium General Electric silicone rubber that offers extreme high strength and resilience in all driving conditions.

Ultra SilBladeŽ exceeds all Society of Automotive Engineers and Japanese Industrial Standards for wipe quality, durability and ozone and chemical resistance....It's been tested for over 1 Million Wipes!!

Ultra SilBladeŽ wipers patented formulation and process prevents degradation from prolonged exposure to sunlight, ozone, washer fluid and road residue. It's the sunlight and ozone that kills conventional rubber blades.

Ultra SilBladeŽ remains flexible and maintains a superior wipe in extreme temperatures from sub-Arctic Cold (all the way down to -80°F) and high desert heat (actually up to 400°F).

Ultra SilBladeŽ wipers are available in lengths from 12" to 24" and come complete with metal frames, stainless steel rails and universal adapters for easy installation on most cars and trucks.

Ultra SilBladeŽ wipers are guaranteed for 5 years. Conventional wipers wear out in 6 months to 1 year. In fact conventional wiper manufacturers recommend changing wiper blades every 6 months because of degradation to the rubber.

Pros: Works as advertised, high quality
Cons: A tad pricey, but they pay for themselves

I was pretty much resigned to replacing blades on an annual basis and even earlier. I tended to use conventional "winter blades" year round and they worked "OK". I recently tried those low profile "Reflex" blades and they flat out sucked. I did some research on these blades on numerous sites and finally got me a pair. They're hard to find in Canada, so I had to wait a bit to get them from what appears to be the only Canadian Distributor.

First impressions of the product? High quality. They're well made and feel that way in your hand. Very solid feel to them. Easy to install (I've got them front and rear). How do they work? GREAT. At first they left a bit of a streaky windshield, but I sense it was just the blades breaking in. It's been several months and they're getting me through the winter with flying colours.

On the subject of "colours", the only thing that differentiates regular Silblades from "Ultra" is that the latter are available in lots of poseur colours that the ricer community must love. Then again, many of them are into looks over performance so they'll probably settle for cheaper knock-offs.

I settled for black and black. PERFECT!

These are supposed to last 5 years and from what I've read elsewhere, people are getting that much life and then some. Only time will tell.

I really like these blades.
