Description:
|
The SPAL FAN-PWM fan controller can be connected to the factory (OEM) temperature sensor or an aftermarket electric guage sensor. This eliminates the need for an additional sensor. (The unit is designed to use the OEM factory type sensor on fuel-injected vehicles. Some older style sensors will not work.)
Controls up to 25 amps of fan current
-The SPAL electric fan controller (FAN-PWM) will Pulse Width Modulate a single electric fan allowing the unit to vary the fan speed based on engine temperature. A second fan can be added with the use of an additional fan relay harness (FRH). The second fan will not be PWM controlled; it will be ON/OFF only.
Utilizes Factory (OEM) sensor or optional SPAL sensor
-Smart software that automatically recognizes the OEM sensors calibration as it is being programmed
-Great for use in modern computer controlled vehicles
-Preset for plug and play application when in use with the optional SPAL sensor (FAN-PWM-TS / Low setting: 160 degrees, High setting: 200 degrees)
-Detailed wiring instructions for single fan/dual fan and vehicles with A/C included.
Air Conditioning Input
-Activates both fans when A/C is turned on

Cons:

None so far

Well built, easy to install. Progamming is really easy. Wiring directions included were easy to follow and read. I didn't even have to program it, automatically ran the fans at the same temp the mechanical fan ran at.

I bought this unit some time ago and waiting to install it. I looked over a bunch of controllers and feel this was in the top running. The construction alone makes it very element resistant. It aslo makes use of your stock temp sender or on of theirs (spal) for readings. I am not fond of the probe type and know this will give you the most accurate readings. It is very easily configured. It is capable of controlling 2 fans with the purchase of an extra relay. It is in my opinion very reasonably priced compared to others that offer a lot less.
