Description: 96-01 Ford Explorer and Mercury Moutaineer 5.0 headers.

Better gas mileage!, More horsepower!, More torque! Great power increase for towing or just that extra load! Great replacement shortie headers for those OEM manifolds!

Our test vehicle has obtained 21.4 mpg to date with Torque Monster Headers. The factory highway mileage rating was only 18 mpg. From our baseline dyno test these headers showed an increase of 20 horsepower and 35-40 ftlbs of torque!

Pros: Quality, performance, prettiness!
Cons:

I've had these headers for a long time now with nothing but good things to say about them. The quality is amazing. I have dyno-proven their performance. I would recommend these to anyone looking to get rid of their restrictive stock manifolds. Well worth the price! They come with EVERYTHING you need as well as an instructional video. You can't go wrong!

Pros: Great power increase, great sound, ceramic coated
Cons: Long install time, challenging to reroute stock plug wires

I bought a set of Torque Monster Headers to replace my sick stock exhaust manifolds. Once I removed them from the box, I could tell that they are quality pieces. Very solid, well packaged, and came with all necessary hardware.

The headers do take quite awhile to install (it took me 4 days with a helper). I can't really knock the headers for that as there is definitely a lot of work to do to get these on. But once they are on, they sound incredible, and the midrange power that these deliver is aboslutely fantastic.

I took one point off simply because it is difficult to reroute the plug wires around the headers. I used heat socks on the wires, and still managed to burn out the wire on cylinder 3 after just 5 days, as the heat passed through the sock and melted the wire. Replacing the burnt out wire with a stock wire and metal heat shield cured the problem.

Rating: 9/10. Highly recommended.
