I had an Actron cp9145, and that was a good tool. But this scangauge is awesome. Can monitor so much, can read codes, cables to the OBD2 port. Display is cool, many colors are programmable. I mounted it under the dash gauge cluster. Also saves trip parameters. very cool scanner.

$149.95 deal! Real time miles per gallon readout, great for maximizing your mileage, scanning and reseting codes, check engine lights, this tool is awsome. You can program your own guages, set display colors.

No real negatives, this tool does what it says it will. I wish it had better mount-ability for installation on the dash (it's not to bad, the cable connection can go into the back or side of the guage)

I really enjoy this tool! takes the dread and mystery out of those pesty check engine lights, allows you to see the codes (go online or refer to a shop manual for decoding the codes) and lets you reset the vehicle computer to turn off the CEL. Lets you observe real time fuel consumption and mileage while driving, monitor engine and coolant temps, throttle position, tons of diagnostic parameters... I bought mine brand new, latest version for $149.95 with free shipping from scangaugesales.com, lowest price I found shopping ebay and other online vendors. I use this on my four different vehicles, it's totally plug and play, moves easily from car to car. Handy 6 foot long cord is usefull, but sometimes hard to bundle neatly and tuck away while driving (meh- pretty minor complaint... : ) You can view 4 different parameters at once, and it's easy to scroll through to see additional ones.
I recommend this for anyone with a car, even if you don't do your own mechanical work, you will have a very good idea what is wrong or needed for your vehicle before you take it to the shop.
