Description: Overall a great book but the title is a little misleading as half of the book focuses on metallurgy, fasteners and so on. This is valuable of course for anyone who's going to put lives on the line with their welds and suspension. However, I was expecting a bit more info on vehicle/suspension dynamics and calculations (as the title initially lead me to believe).

The book is also a little outdated but it still contains a ton of great information and lessons the general fabricator should know. The author does tend to focus more on on-road vehicles and their attributes but still, a lot of the information transfers over to the off-roader such as ring and pinion gear failure, coil spring fatigue and flaws, axle shaft failure, and so much more.
