Description:

Developed to help the Do-it-yourself customer easily check low and high side pressures while adding refrigerant as needed. Once connected to the system simply turn the blue low side gauge to add refrigerant or turn it back to check low side pressures. The high side is a separate connection from the low side so there is no chance of accidentally charging through the high side of the system. Features one 24” blue low side hose, one 24” red high side hose, one 24” yellow charging hose, high and low side connectors, and an acme R134a can tap.

I originally bought this set because I needed a yellow hose for my other gauges, and this was all they had at AutoZone. I decided to reveiw it anyway. This is normally $50 but I got it for $35 because it was on the wrong peg. 
Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10, because it does what it says it does. The manifold is metal, surrounded by a plastic housing. The gauges seem cheap but accurate. It includes everything needed to get started (gauge set, hanger, hose set & connectors, and tap valve). The only drawback is that you cannot open the high pressure side, only the low pressure side (by turning the entire blue gauge). This means that this can only be used to check the pressure of an already charged system and to add refrigerant. The good side of this tho is that pretty much anyone can check & charge their A/C with this, as they won't be able to open the high side and blow up the refrigerant can. Even mechanically challenged people would be able to take this home and use it without screwing up. I would definitely recommend this before buying one of those low-pressure-only "one size fits all" pressure gauges from Wal-Mart or so. The only way to know if your A/C system is working properly and filled correctly is to see both the high and low side pressures.
Apart from that, I was a little disappointed in the length of the hoses. However, they reached the service ports in the Explorer just fine. The yellow hose is not long enough to use with large refrigerant bottles. This gauge set is for R-134a only.
In conclusion, if you're looking to replace parts or revive a dead A/C, you're going to need something better than this. But if all you want to do is add some refrigerant or just see your pressures, and you're not quite sure what you're doing, this is the way to go.
