I looked at a ton of billet grilles to update the look of my '00 Sport and was always turned off the prices for the good ones, the "cheesiness" of the cheapo eBay ones and the fact you have to cut the stock grille shell. I saw the Street Scenes offering on the Explorer sites and really wanted one...until I saw the prices of them which is compounded when you try and get them shipped into Canada.
I put out a feeler on eBay and got an email several months later. Both the upper and lower (valance) version of the grilles became available, brand new. I kept quiet on the auction so not to get outbid and scored upper and lower for less than it would cost to get just the upper. SCORE!
Install is dead simple. You remove the grille shell for the upper install. Street Scenes provides these little clips which hold the pieces in place and they're failry easy to install. They're also fairly easy to uninstall which I did when I traded in my Sport on my current ride ('99 Eddie Bauer). A few scratches where left behind, but nothing a little Dupli-Color touch-up couldn't take care of.
The lower valance is a bit trickier to put on. You have to climb under your Ex to get it done and it's a bit of an awkward angle. I still have some clips to add. Got two zip ties securing it right now. Will add more clips eventually.
Great grille.
