Description:

The NEW TrXus Mud Terrain is INTERCO'S answer to the need of those who want a smooth, super quiet ride with tough, thick sidewalls with a chip and cut resistant compound. This tire has more siping than any other mud terrain on the market; which has proven to be almost magical in icy snowy conditions. These same traction features make this tire a serious rock climber.
Each TrXus Mud Terrain tire has its individual specifications and is heavier than the original equipment tires of comparable size. Many brands of tires are made from generic specifications which means there are many "brand names" coming out of a particular factory but all the tires have a common specification basic body or casing. The only difference is the mold the tire is cured in. The tires will have different tread designs but the body of the tire is common to many others of the same size but under various names.

Nice Tread Pattern, Good Radial Style Tire

Couldn't Balance, Horrible Run Out
I had 34x12.50xR15 (which is and odd size anyway), but I was doing a transmission flush and had the rear wheels up to bump the pressure up in the lines and the truck started to shake horribly. When looking at the tires the wheels weren't wobbling (run-out), but the tires were doing horrible in runout. I expected a little with such a big tire, but it was just rediculous. The tires all wanted about 25 ounces in average (which normal tires take at most 3 ounces -- my new 33s take at most 7 ounces). I contacted 4wheelparts and was able to recieve SSRs instead. Some people have good luck with the tires, I however, did not.

Pros:
Great in the snow. Better than your average M/T on wet pavment.
Cons:
Very difficult to balance.

I ran these tires on my F250 in a 33/12.5/16 for about 10,000 miles. Ran them starting in the winter and ending the next winter. Great tire for the snow. The sipping combined with the M/T tread held great. These balanced with out a problem.
I am curently running a set of 33/12.5/15s on my Explorer. These were very hard to get balanced, but it was done. I only have about 5,000 miles on them but there is no sign of wear other than the rubber "nibbles" being gone.
Over all for a steet/wheeling rig I would buy these again no problems.

Pros:

Great Tire on and off Road. Best mud tire I've found that works well in snow and ICE.
Cons:
Slight road hum. Needs a few weights to balance right
I have 265/75R16's on my explorer. These tires did take some weights to balance, but have been wearing fine now for 12k. Never had to rebalance them. They have a little more than one of the 5 wear bars worn off after 12k. As stated, these are awesome in the snow. They were a great choice for my truck as is sees all types of soils/snow/sand. It also sees a few street miles, It even went from Iowa to Corpus Christ Tx. This spring and did some driving on the beach.
Great all around tire.

Pros:

Decent highway manners, good traction
Cons:

needs lots of weight to balance if using standard wheel weights
I have 33x12.50 r15 on 15x8 rims.
Currently I only have 2000 miles of street driving and a weekend at truckhaven. Road manners are better than expected. They aren't overly noisy and don't wander. At truckhaven, aired down to 15psi, they worked great and grabbed traction more than I expected. I would have to say they did better than my previous set of BFG AT-KO tires did.
I didn't bother with wheel weights. I'm using 8 ounces of airsoft pellets (that's 2000 .12 gram size pellets) in each tire. The tires feel belanced all the way up to 80mph (highest I'll take our X).
I'll report a mileage report after I get enough miles on these tires.

hard to balance

I have 31x10.50's on my explorer and i love them. I have about 20,000 road miles on them and they have only wore about 3/4 cm! their off road performance is great, could be better in the mud, but they are a dream on rocks and snow. They are a bit of a hassle to balance though, thats why i gave 9/10
