Makes ride a little firmer
|
|
I have been running these for about 5 years now and still love them. They are strong enough to support the whole wieght of my Explorer and gave me 1.5" of lift in the rear. It did firm up my ride a little, but I liked the firmness ove rthe spoongy stock feel.

Squeek

As far as budget boosting is concerned these are an awesome way to level an x out or gain a couple inches. I have hung mine up on a few rocks and a tree. Other than minor scratches they look brand new rather than 2 years old. In addition they actually seem to have improved my travel by a couple inches. Though it could be just an illusion.
I do of course have 2 complaints.
First they hang down sooooooo low. Ok they are not that bad, but they definately stand out below the bumper... Secondly they created a lot of squeeking in my rear suspension. I can quiet it down a bit by greasing them, but it never lasts long and in cold weather makes absolutely no difference. Actually quite irritating as every little tiny bump is a squeek.

None.

Haven't found any problems with these in the short time I've had them on. They look good, are made very well - much sturdier than the stock shackles - and seem able to hold up to everything. Cheap and easy way to get about 2'' of lift in the back.

Very easy to install, very durable. Good lift for the rear. Mine didn't come with new bolts but I used the old ones with no problems.
