Description: The 15” Flexible Gooseneck Steel Mounting Pedestal attaches directly to the seat bolt on passenger side of vehicle. Already, this solution has become the top selling satellite radio mount for ARKON. Best of all, this solution DOES NOT require drilling.

Pros: Dead simple install
Cons: None

I came across this little gadget when looking for install options for my wife's Subaru Outback. I had just scored her a Delphi Roady XM tuner and was a bit baffled how to do the install. She's very picky and wouldn't have wanted something that was "in your face". Cost was also a concern. The Outback is a tricky install because to open up the dash is a bit of work.

The beauty of this install is how simple it is. You just loosen the bolt holding your passenger seat down, slide the unit under it and tighten the bolt. Then position it where you want it. It comes with a "t adapter" that works with most of the aftermarket Satellite tuners and many GPS units as well. I understand it also works great with PDAs. I'm waiting on a second one for my Explorer. I want a place to mount my Samsung cell phone to work with the Samsung handsfree I already have. The setup comes with an "AMPS" compatible mounting platform which means a dead simple install of the phone. You can either zip tie or bury your wiring/cabling onto the gooseneck to keep things out of the way.

Great concept. Arkon suggests $29.95 for this item, but it can be had much cheaper on eBay.
