Description: More pure platinum with four ground electrodes and the most powerful spark.
If you require the best in performance and the longest performance life, Platinum+4 is the spark plug for you. Platinum+4's unique revolutionary firing technology combines the advantages of surface air gap technology, four ground electrodes, and a heat-fused center electrode with more pure platinum, creating the most powerful spark you can buy.
Four ground electrodes provide multiple spark paths which allow the spark to travel the most efficient path and deliver a longer and more powerful spark than conventional single electrode spark plugs. This offers superior burn characteristics for ultimate engine performance.

Pros: better spark, platinum core so they don't need to be changed as often
Cons: high price

I use these in my Mounty and I have used them in the past but I have been advised by knowledgable sources as well as the a salesman at the auto parts store not to use them in vehicles with aluminum heads such as my Mustang and my Taurus because they burn too hot. I would use them there too if they had steel heads.

Pros: Good for what they were designed for. (BMW's, VW's, etc.)
Cons: To easily fouled, very little self-cleaning ability.

Would not recommend in ANY domestic application.

Pros: Multiple spark paths to ensure a spark is always fired.
Cons: They cost more than ordinary spark plugs.

I had them in my old Grand Am 2.5L 4 cylinder. I didn't feel much of a difference, but they say they are supposed to be good. The engine always ran rough, so the plugs didn't make a difference. The roughness was computer related, not ignition related. Overall, they are platinum plugs which are supposed to last longer than regular plugs. I only had them in the car for 3 months until the transmission died, and did not put many miles on them.
