It's a "reader", not a "scanner"

I think that everyone should have some sort of method of reading CEL codes on your OBD vehicle at the very minimum. Not everyone has access to Autozone after all! I'd probably have one of these anyhow, even if there was an Autozone within 1000 miles of where I live (and there are none that I know of). The unit is easy to use and does what it's supposed to do. It gives you and codes that are stored in memory, allows you to clear them, and also to turn off the hated "check engine light". The setup comes with a CD and it's a good reference source for any codes you might come up with.
I think of the days when I thought the only option was to hit a dealer when you got a code (and pay their highly inflated prices to do so). This reader has a list of $179.99, but I scored one for less than $100 shipped to Canada from an eBay seller.
