The RIDGID® Tailpiece Extension Cutter is the first cutter of its kind that provides the hassle free ability to execute a clean, fast, and straight cut on thin-walled plastic tube. The New Model P-TEC 2550 can be used on Polyethylene (PE), Polypropylene (PP), and Thin-Walled PVC disposer kits, tailpieces, and wall tubes of two standard sizes: 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" OD; both sizes with the same tool. The Tailpiece Extension Cutter is another addition to the RIDGID Under-the-Sink specialty tools family that have brought tremendous value to service plumbers, plumbing contractors and the DIY.

Unique Features and Benefits:

Clean Automatic Deburring – The cut produces only a fine strand of plastic as opposed to the fuzz around the cut of a hacksaw. No need for a second tool to deburr, as it automatically deburrs in parallel to cutting action.
Automatic Beveling – Allows for immediate, easy joining to other sink drain pieces.
Fast Cut – On average six rotations to complete one cut, 4X faster than a hacksaw.

Pros:	Very easy to use. It makes a clean cut on thin wall PVC tubing.
Cons:	It should have a slot which is adjustable for cutting smaller tube sizes.

Standard tubing cutters tend to walk away from the exact location that you're trying to cut. Sometimes the pressure they exert crushes the tube, and damages it. This tubing cutter is very easy to use, and doesn't damage thin wall PVC tubing.
