Burns SAS thread

Well as a few of you know my X was messeed up a bit due to a accident. so i have been looking for a new plan.
i have my axles (d44/ford9") all i need is to choose what i am gonna do.
i was thinking about thiS:
In the front i plan to use whild horse 5.5 inch coils,

for radius arms i plan to use this.

they are 12 inches longer that the stock radius arms.i have the whole frame from a 78 f-150 that i plan to get the coil buckets and steering off of.
i want to use a 37 inch tire and use 4.88 gears
i dont see a problem with any of this so i need some info to see if i have missed anything

This is really not for anyone to read but i need to sit down and make a list of the things i need to do on my explorer here soon. Ill take ideas to make it a better off road rig.

To do list:
1: Finish Paint (Water sand and shoot black stripes and clear)
2: Swap Transfer Case (BW 1354 Manual)
3: Finish Interior (Trim painted black and headliner goes black)
4: Tube Doors(Possibly Buying off a ExplorerForum Member)
5: Put on new rear bumper (Trying to do this for a year)
6: UnderBody Lights
7: Shorten Front Bumper Mounts (Helping Approach Angle)
8: Weld or get front spool

if your not worried about winter 4x4 performance theres nothing wrong with a welded front.

I dont do a lot of winter 4x4. I only pull a select few friends out in the winter. Possibly one winter run that is short.

is this implying driving around town on a snowy day(streets) or snow wheelin

If you use a locked front axle on the street, it's nearly impossible to steer.

I know. We're talking about 4wd in the snow on the street. And yes, you can unlock one hub on the front to help.

Oh my bad lol

Yeah i dont really have that much snow and i dont really use 4wd when it snows anyways.

then weld it and be done with it:)

This for me again. Just to keep myself on task with the Explorer.

1: Sell Sound System!!!
2: Swap Transfer Case (BW 1354 Manual)
3: Roll Cage(Planning in process)
4: Finish Interior (Trim painted black and headliner goes black)
5: Tube Doors(Possibly Buying off a ExplorerForum Member)
6: Put on new rear bumper (Trying to do this for a year)
7: Shorten Front Bumper Mounts (Helping Approach Angle)
8: Fox Air Shocks(See #1 to why its so low on the list)

Well the explorer is having a little problem. I am wearing tires in the front like crazy. The outsides are going bald. I had to put the little rims and tires on it so it can go be checked. My other rims are spaced out too much and i was too wide for the maching. Hopefully i wont be this time.

...You did know Rick gave us all personal notepads in our user cp...;)

..btw, did you fix the bearing problem???...Mine are fine now..

I wish my tires would wear away to nothing....Stupid TSL radials!!!!!!!!!

It is hawt that it wont run 55 lol

I never thought i would be excited that a set of $1000 tires would wear out but i didnt like them. They were not that bad but they bulged on the sidewalls and rock rashed really easily.

Yeah i knew about the notepads but never copied it over there after it got up.

I did. I had to put a new hub and all on there to fix it. Same problem you were having. The inner bearing race was moving around in the hub. Not cool at all.

Yea I ruined one tire the first run out and I loose a couple knobs almost every time out. There horrible, but a new set means a lot of money, so I have to tough it out.
