Guess its my turn, and on one of the hottest days of the year, no less. One minute, MAX A/C is blowing through the vents just fine, next minute its only blowing through the defroster and floor vents. Only position on the knob that changes anything is "off". 2002 Explorer 4L V-6. I took two photos shown below, both under the blower motor on the passenger side. Plastic thingy with a T-vacuum line attached to it; one gray, one black. Is this the plastic "ball-shaped" thing I've read is supposed to be under the passenger side wheel well, or is there another one there I'm supposed to look for? Are these the two vacuum lines that either pop off or break? If the vacuum lines are still connected and not punctured, what needs to be replaced to make everything all better again? P.S. Hot and cold still work fine.
Thanks,
Larry

As stupid as this sounds, it fixed itself. Don't ask me how but I guess I should be thankful until it happens again. Thanks anyway.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I've heard that expression said a ton of times by bad poker players at the casino! :(

I use it often on the golf course!! ⛳⛳⛳

Haven't used the mulligan system in quite some time. :D

...and today, it fixed itself and is working again. Very strange indeed. I hate intermittent problems. What the heck is that plastic torpedo shaped thing just above the floor and under the glove box anyway (photo above)? I looked under and over the car, and inside the inner fender skirt and can't find the plastic ball. Is it possible that mine is inside somehow?

I believe that is the vacuum reservoir.
