In the bed of my ST there is an outlet(?) that reads "12 volt 20 amp" what is this for?

Are there adapters that allow me to turn this into a regular 120volt 15amp outlet?

All power ports are 20 amp as cigar lighters are a dead short.

No, its for a 12v DC unit. I use mine for cooling beer in a mobicool.

I owned a few 12V coolers and I got rid of them. Mine were ok when I was driving but would drain my trucks battery in hours if not running.
