2015 Explorer XLT
Well after the laundry list of problems I had with my 2013, the paint bubbling not being covered was my final straw. I took advantage of the great incentives and lease rates on new and picked up a 2015 Bronze Fire XLT with the 202a package, moonroof, 20" polished wheels & NAV. My 13 had the base XLT wheels. SO far i love the 20's and LOVE the Bronze fire! Hopefully all of the kinks are worked out! So far I've noticed a few minor good things Ford changed from 2013. Here's a couple pics :)

Congrats on the new Ex.. and the color. I bought a F350 Bronze Fire.. not sure how long you have had the 15 but the color is amazing in the sun. It's crazy how it looks maroon in the shade and burnt orange in the sun. And you can have several different parts of the car showing several different shades all at once.

This is the best pic I have that shows the true burnt orange showing through in the sun.

So what few things did you notice different on the 2015 vs 2013? Also, was it a noticeable ride difference with the 20" wheel vs 18" wheels? I know the 18" wheels will be a softer ride.

That one does look great, what are the great incentives you are talking about?

Around here, there is only a pittance, of $1,500. for incentives, on a 2015 Explorer.

I recently bought a 2015 AWD Limited. Got $3,000 in rebates plus a nice discount from the dealer. Listed for $42,500. Got it for $35,999. Live 50/50 in Florida and Wisconsin. Bought the Limited in Florida.

Noticed that you have the tie down hook next to your left rear exhaust muffler. I have one also on my recently purchased 2015 AWD Limited. I have looked at a lot of Gen 5 Exployers in my area and none have that tie down hook on them. I am thinking that the dealer forgot to remove it before delivery or it is something new starting with the 2015 model?

My wife's Ex has the tie down too. Actually came in handy last winter when we slid into a ditch. Was the only thing that I could dig out of the snow to attach the tow strap.

I had that on my 2011 Limited as well. Seeing as how you bought yours in Florida, I doubt it would have the block heater that would likely be on the ones sold in Wisconsin. Have you checked?

One minor change that I love is the rubber knobs in the cup holders that keep your drink in place and not slosh around. Thoughtful. lol I also noticed they changed the foot pad on the floor. It's a lil smaller but it feels like more space on the floor. Also they put a lil notch to run a cord through the media compartment.
2 minor things they also changed that I'm kinda meh about are they took away "climate" from the instrument display to control on the steering wheel. Also when I got a txt, it used to notify me on the right side instrument panel display and i'd be able to play it by hitting ok on the right steering control. They took that away. You have to press listen on the radio screen, OR by voice command you can say read message. Both minor. I think what they're trying to do is make things less cumbersome. Forcing us to use the voice sync and keep our eyes on the road. As far as the ride I think the 20's deff ride a lil more stiff. I prefer that though because 1 complaint I always had with the 18's is they were too soft and I couldn't feel the road as much as I'd like. The ride comfort though is still very smooth with the 20's & it's doing great in the snow so far. I had the tow hook on my 13 as well. I can't wait to see the color cleaned up in the sun! It's been snowing here in Albany since I picked it up Saturday.

2000 Rebate. They also took a few thousand off MSRP to help a little bit of negative equity I had to roll in because I didn't lease the 13.

And you didn't want to wait for the 2016?

There really wasn't enough changes to the 16' to make me overly excited to wait. I'm not really a fan of the 16' front end. The only thing I really liked were the LED headlights and DRL. It looks like Brightlights is currently designing an LED light strip though for the 11-15's. :)
