It's about time somebody takes that spot!

I just wish you could have finished your trans swap to see what you could really do!!! Sorry for not getting in touch with you earlier. I'll try to send you a text soon :salute:

LSX - Send me a PM when you head to the track and I'll tag along. With the addition of my CAI and larger throttle body, I might have a chance at taking the #1 N/A spot.

Oh I did get the 4R70 swap done. I never made it to the track though.

Did this on the test drive after new trans was in so I gave up.

I have a fully built 4R70 trans with a 2600 stall billet converter sitting here with less than 25 miles on it. Stand alone trans controller to go with it too. Over $3k and it's of no use to me anymore. Maybe somebody wants it.

:(
Rebuild and go at it again!

Fastest documented time slip

mounty03,

So sorry to hear what happened to your truck's engine. That was an expensive engine too I am sure. At the time of your last post's you were out of work also, talk about bad timing. I assume that picture was taken a few years ago? Did you get rid of the truck? Your truck is still the fastest time slip documented and a great story to tell, you should fix the pictures in your threads and add some more details to complete the story. We could all learn from your accomplishments and trials. And if you still have it you should rebuild and go at it again as LSXkilr stated.
Thanks for building one bad ass truck and sharing it with us.

I just noticed that 4pointslow took the number 2 spot for power adders.

Great accomplishment! My hats off to you.

2nd

Thanks Jakee!
I might not be there for long with all the other great Explorers and Mountaineers on this site getting engine upgrades and cool power adders.lol.

I'm still plugging away on my 2wd SOHC sport with the 5 speed swap. I'm hoping to spark some life into the NA list on my way to turbo'd glory! Haha. I had an unfortunate incident on my commute to work with an alternator locking up and a horrible decision to make, push it to work minus the water pump (knowing the outcome) or risk my job. Needless to say I'm now prepping the new NA SOHC engine. Based on the way it ran in the fall I'm pretty confident on 1/4 mile numbers once I get it to the track.
I also have a buddy trying to beat me along the way with a 2wd sport he's finishing a V8 swap in now. My end goal is still to make the power adder list, just having some fun NA for the season

New time slip

Got a little faster.

Atco Raceway

Thanks!

I am very lucky to live within driving distance of Atco Raceway (aprox 26 miles)
They are usually open all the way into December.
Next Friday is Black Friday all day racing/test and tune. I plan to be there as long as possible that day.

Atco is a solid track to get good numbers and I look forward to your next results! KCIR near me closed down about 2 years ago and recently Heartland Park in Topeka has been having troubles of it's own. The only place I know of is to drive about 2 hrs to Mokan Drags. I'm pretty sure I can beat my last time, but not sure enough to do a 4 hr round trip.

Tracks

2 hours is a bit long to drive sometimes. Especially with the thought of possibly having to be towed home. I was towed home in my 4 door explorer from work which is 42 miles from my house, no Triple A either. about $250.00.
I sometimes race at Maple Grove which is about 65 miles away, I can imagine the tow bill would be a little more. lol.

I guess if Atco Raceway ever closes I will have to move. lol.

right lane is me

time_slip.jpg

after looking at a few of other guys times, i know there is a problem with mine.

that was from a couple of years ago with the m90/302.
this was from this year. 347/m112

12021959_10153106936362513_71768001_n.jpg

after looking at the two of them i knew i had spun on my last one but didnt realize how bad. 2 tenths difference in a 60ft time is bad.

60 ft times

I have heard that a tenth in the 60 is worth two in the 1/4 mile, if that is true and you could get a 1.7 with a really good launch (drag radials maybe), then....
2.2 - 1.7 = .5 in the 60 faster, maybe 1 whole second faster in the 1/4 mile.
I say that truck of yours could pull a 12.8

New time slip.

:burnout:

Sweet, that's a killer fast 4.0 truck. Well done.

Great job 4pointslow!!! My Livernois tuned MKS is pretty stout, but I'll be sure to stay away from you at a stoplight! lol
