C1998 code.

I have a 2005 explorer XLT advanctrac RSC. Advanctrac light is on. Shows c1998 code. Local ford dealer says they no longer program or calibrate the module. Is there any help to be had?

Go to the FORScan forum • Index page site and search for the error code. A quick search shows other have used forscan to reset this on other Ford vehicles. It might do the job for you.

After a little more research online I discovered the same thing. I've ordered the cable interface for my laptop. Thanks for the reply.
