I was given a build date of Dec 8, 2020 for my Lincoln Aviator. Does that mean it will be built on that date?

My VIN is 5LMP5J7XC5MJL07309
It contains 18 characters. Is this a correct amount? I've read where a VIN contains 17 characters. The reason I'm asking is because when I plug my number in, it shows as invalid. Maybe my dealer miss wrote it.

The vin should be number should be 17. Your dealer may have made an error so I would check with him.

In comparing yours to mine, I believe the problem is with either the 'M' or 'J'.
