Hey guys! So I decided to finally start my registry for my Ex! To explain the title of this registry, I broke my back in May of 2009, which left me paralyzed from the belt line down and in a wheelchair. One of the first realizations I had was how I was going to keep driving my '99 Ex I had at the time. So I got a manual chair and learned to take it apart and put it in the back seat so I could drive myself. So here I am three years later with a bit nicer Ex still taking apart my chair and using the Ex as my 4X4 chair! Bought my '03 XTL just this last October. She is my second expo, had a '99 XLS that I traded in for my new one. Did not do anything to my '99. By when I drove Taylor (seemed like a good name for my new girl) off the lot...
Well, I finally have a moment to get some pics of my 1994 Explorer. This explorer was built strictly as a on going project. I try not to drive the truck but once a month to keep it low mileage. As many of you know, I am able to do this as I own a couple Ford Explorers. Here are some pictures of the truck. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Here is the truck during the installation of the Solid Axle. I used a dana 30 axle off a 1994 Jeep Wrangler. I am not worried at all about the Dana 30 being strong enough as this is just a driveway queen :) I will eventually put some Dana 60's under it with a 44" tire or bigger. My SAS was done by using leafs springs and some custom leaf spring hangers. Here...
Thanks for checking out my thread! I've owned about a dozen 1st & 2nd gen Explorers over the last 8 years. I've done Dana 44's on a 1st gen, coilovers on a 2nd gen, uniball uppers, leveling kits, lift kits, fabricated a handful of front ends, shock hoops, bedcages, the list goes on and on. For my latest truck, I began my search towards the end of last summer & actually started out looking for a 2nd gen, (I really like the ones with the AC in the center console). Thankfully this truck was not needed as a daily driver, so I was able to take my time. I happen to stumble across this extremely clean 1st gen that reminded me so much of my favorite Explorer, which was also a white 94 with black wheels. I could not pass this truck up. Here in...

Well, i've been on this board for over a year now, and decided it's about time i become an elite member. when i first stumbled onto this page, i had just become owner of my 1996 Explorer Limited. since then, a lot has changed. I got the bug, and have been unable to stop modifying my explorer. A little about myself: I am 23 years old, and am finishing up my bachelors degree in two months. I am currently working for a company in Orlando designing, selling, and installing Home Theater systems. About my truck: STOCK: I bought the truck stock with 97k miles on it. In February of 2002(Before I was even 16) my parents bought me an Explorer(which I had to pay them back for). I never thought I'd find a site with this much info! It stayed stock for quite a while, I put a system in that summer which consisted of a Kenwood HU, MTX ThunderForm and cheapo speakers. And then tinted the windows to 20%. Here it is stock: Got my license that December and started putting miles on it!! The following May I took it to the All Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA, got to meet a few members from here, and had a blast despite the rain! Paid it off around that time and the major mods started! Got new 15X8 Wheels: Had dual Exhaust custom bent with a Flowmaster 40 Series: On November 28 a deer...
