Howdy everyone (and thanks for checking out my Sport Trac!) My name is Luke, as you've probably already guessed. Yes, I know everyone calls their Ex's 'XPLODR', however, I've owned 3, so I am allowed LOL. A little about my previous vehicles: I started off with a black 1996 Explorer Sport 4wd, 126k miles, purchased in ~2003 for $4000 with 126k miles. I sold that vehicle in 2007 with a blown transmission, and ~200k miles, for $700. I then bought a black 2003 Explorer XLT 2wd- 55k miles, for $13500 in 2007. I then sold that one for $4400 with 106k miles in February of 2012. Here's a picture from the day I sold it: At that point, I purchased my current vehicle - a 2005 Explorer Sport Trac 4x4 with ~60k miles, which I...
Figured I should start a thread since this truck is starting to snowball. I bought this rolled Explorer for $400 a few months ago. This poor family owned & maintained this truck for over 20 years, before it was rolled in the hands of an 18 year old. The owner was dumbfounded when I cut out the windshield at his house & drove it home (at night) with a full face helmet! Specs: 93 XLT Auto 4x4 170,x.. on chassis Receipt from a Ford Dealership showing 60K on the new motor Receipt for a rebuilt trans showing 18K New - MAF, brake booster/master, cats & muffler The plan was to just keep it in the yard since my DD is showing it’s age at 225k. This truck runs better than any 1st gen I’ve owned (15 or so). I literally had zero plans for it...
Alright, for sometime now I've wanted to create one of these, but I was too lazy and figured no one cared about what I was doing. But today I decided that if for nothing else this can at least be a way for me to see the progress I have made, even if I look at, or drive my car almost everyday. If you come here expecting to see updated pics all the time it won't happen but I will reply to any questions and comments as soon as I see them. To start the show, here it is, The earliest photo I have of it is this one: But here is the current state: (need new photo) Exterior: (to be added once I get outside tomorrow and there is light [just realized still never took these photos]) Interior: (same thing can be said here) Secondary Car...
Well on 13th of this month. (My b-day) I went and bought the woman a 98 V8 AWD XLT for $2700. She has been wanting a 4 door something for a while now. With with 2 kids both in car seats I can understand. As for mods the list will probably stay small. But any ways here is the plan of mods for it so far. She likes the ranger wheels on my sport and hers needs tires soon so she will get the ranger wheels and my v8 sport will be getting some 18s put on it. Remove roof rack install later model bumper and color match it to the body install side skirts/wheel lips and color match to the body Cold air intake electric fan remote start remove chrome grill and replaced with a color matched one Well that is all I can think of for now. Completed...

After nearly a year I finally decided to become Elite. I have grown to really enjoy this site and wanted to support it. I have learned almost everything I have wanted to know about my Ex on this site plus some things I really didn't want to know. I was very fortunate that the first owner (my father) took very good care of the Ex. and did all needed mx. in a timely manner and kept it very clean. I recently did my shackles and tt and mounted my 31's. I was worried about the shackles because my Ex spent 8 winters in New England being subjected to salt and sand. Suprisingly the shackle bolts came out without "much" resistance. I do wonder if I should have gone with 32's.......but oh well maybe later. I have some...
So I sold my 03 ranger and it was a sad day. I had been looking for something slightly more family friendly and still capable (with a little help of course) and I had my eyes out for a first gen in good running shape. Well the search went on for several months, when a red sled came up for sale almost 400 miles away but it would give me a chance to visit family. However, it disappeared and I thought nothing of it. It magically reappear on a consignment auction slightly closer (350 vs 400 miles). So I contacted the owner. Come to find out this is a 2 owner truck that was purchased by the former owners mother in '93 and then when she stopped driving, he bought it and drove it for the next 6 years. I probably gave a little much for...

Note -- Most of you know this as easys94 .The rig did not have a name, I got to make a major run - Moab 2015. The rig got its name there. Anthony (aka Suicide77) is one that put the tag on it. So it will be the Green Buffalo or just the Buffalo for short I picked up a 94 EB 2d last night from Jay in Plano Tx. I need to thank Jay for all the work he has put into this rig. Hopefully I can keep it going. I also need to thank Kris Guilbeaux and Mike(TexasArmadillio) for puting me on to this last week at the meet in Elgin. I wasnt looking for a new rig, but after hearing them talk about it , I had to check it out - now its mine:D Mike (reaper) and I took it out to city lake earlier and gave it a little test run, they had...
